PCI-1612是一款与PCI2.1/2.2总线规格兼容的4端口RS-232/422/485 PCI 通讯卡，可提供高达921.6Kbps的传输速率。此外PCI-1610还使用了带有128字节FIFO的**16PCI954 UART芯片，能够大大减轻CPU的负载。这些部件能够让它的工作更加稳定**。由于具有这些功能，PCI-1612非常适合在多任务环境中使用。
